November News
It’s been a busy time for the Wymondham Ukulele Group with a couple of performances in November as well as our regular bi-monthly meetings. Our main aim is to have fun and enjoy ourselves and this has gradually developed to the point where we are being invited to entertain other people as well as ourselves. We usually have enough members to be able to take on these performances, plus some members of the Norwich Ukulele Group have come along occasionally who bring along their experience and enthusiasm. During the month we have played at Wymondham Day Centre and also had a lovely time further afield at The Dragonfly Gallery in Watton (where we were rewarded with tea, coffee and mince pies, etc!) We have several more dates booked in before Christmas, including Attleborough Day Centre and Wynterfest in Wymondham so we are practising some suitable seasonal songs to add to our mix of styles.
As well as increasing our list of songs, we have also increased our membership and we regularly have attendances of 15 – 20 at our Tuesday sessions. New faces are always welcome, whatever your ability. If you’re not sure, we can bring along a spare ukulele for you to try before you buy!
Our Christmas party (advance booking only) is on Tuesday 6th December at The Green Dragon and our next fun session will be on Tuesday 3rd January 2017. Have a great Christmas everyone.
